Experts In Criminal Proceedings

Carter Brown Associates was established in 2001; over the last 10 years our network of Paediatricians, Psychiatrists and Psychologists has prepared many reports within Criminal Law Proceedings, ranging from assessments of suggestibility and fitness to plead to working on high-profile murder cases. We pride ourselves on providing expert witness reports of a high standard within realistic timescales and at a reasonable cost. We recognise that experts within this arena must be able to prepare reports quickly and in accordance with court prescribed deadlines in order to mitigate delay.

From the moment that you refer a case for an expert witness to Carter Brown Associates, our knowledgeable staff will be on hand to deal with any questions or concerns you may have. Referrals can be made by telephone, e-mail, fax or letter and we will always provide you with the information which you require in a timely manner, usually on the same day. Our Referrals team are happy to recommend suitable expert witnesses who match your assessment requirements. Alternatively, we can provide you with up to date timescales for your preferred expert.

Once an expert witness is instructed, you will be provided with details of their Case Handler who will act as a point of contact for both yourself and the expert. Our Case Handlers are equipped with the skills to deal with a wide range of queries and will be happy to assist you wherever possible.

We take the quality of the service which we provide and have a designated Quality Assurance Team responsible for the checking of all experts' reports. All of our expert witnesses are subject to a rigorous recruitment process involving interviews and a mandatory induction day and must have enhanced CRB clearance, be registered with relevant professional bodies and hold professional indemnity insurance.
