Independent Social Workers

Our Independent Social Workers are able to bring a wealth of experience to Family Court Proceedings. Many of them have years of experience working within Childcare Social Work teams and have a great awareness of the child protection issues, which lead to Local Authority involvement with families. In addition to this, a number of our Independent Social Workers have experience of working within the Family Court arena as a Children’s Guardian, and representing the best interests of children. They are skilled in working with families within both Public Law/Care Proceedings and Private Law Proceedings, where there may be ongoing disputes over contact and residence.

Our Independent Social Workers are based across the country and are available to travel for work throughout the UK. In most cases, an assessment can be completed within a timescale of 6-8 weeks. All of our Independent Social Workers are registered with the General Social Care Council and are fully compliant with its requirement for continuing professional development. They are also subject to regular Criminal Records Bureau checks.
